ANCHOR / REPORTER / HOST

Alecia is an Emmy award winning correspondent for CBS NY. She is a sustainability, social, and environmental justice advocate; giving a voice to people who may not otherwise be able to tell their stories. Passionate about clean water and sanitation (WASH), poverty, and the environment, Alecia is currently studying Global Development Practice at the Harvard Extension School.

Before making her way to CBS New York, Alecia reported in Philadelphia and San Francisco. She got her television break at News 12 Bronx/Brooklyn.

One career highlight was seizing the opportunity to share her craft, proudly teaching journalism in the Spring of 2019 at Del York Creative Academy in Lagos, Nigeria. While there, DCA gained national recognition as the 'Most Influential People of African Descent Class of 2019 in Media and Culture' as they pushed to change the country’s creative landscape.

When not covering the news, you can find Alecia volunteering with a number of charitable organizations, traveling and gobbling down delicious food. A few of Alecia's favorite charities include Habitat for Humanity, Global Village, and Big Brother Big Sister. She is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists, and serves on the board of MIKA Girls Basketball, helping pave the way for student-athletes to become successful on and off the court.
